The purpose of this study is to identify operational improvements in the vicinity of Falls road and Northern Parkway for multimodal transportation.  The intersection of falls road and Northern parkway has a higher than average crash rate, traffic congestion, and lack of adequate pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure.  The study will focus on developing a menu of improvements, concepts, and costs for multi-modal improvements.

The project study limits include Falls Road from the Baltimore County line to Elmwood Road and Norther parkway from Gascony Lane to Cylburn Avenue.

The Study began December 1, 2019 and is expected to be a 12-month study period ending in early December 2020.

  • On May 21, 2020, DOT will hold the next public meeting to review data collection for the study area.
