Weekend Road Closures for June 17-19, 2022

Traffic Modifications for Weekend Baltimore Orioles Home Games

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary traffic modifications that will be in effect for the Baltimore Orioles home games which will be held at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

Motorists should be advised that all parking restrictions and residential permit parking regulations will be strictly enforced in the vicinity of the stadium during each game.  Patrons who do not have a parking permit for any of the stadium lots are strongly encouraged to use public transportation.  With a variety of transit options including the Metro Subway, Light Rail, Park and Ride express bus services, and the Charm City Circulator, fans can easily use mass transit from numerous locations in and around Baltimore. 

Baseball fans that drive to the games should utilize commercial parking facilities north of the stadium and avoid parking in area neighborhoods.  Transportation Enforcement Officers will enforce all posted parking restrictions and residential permit parking regulations in the vicinity of the stadium.  Vehicles parked in violation will be ticketed and towed.  Patrons with questions concerning the location of their vehicles should call 311. 

In preparation for Friday’s game, the following streets will be closed on Friday, June 17, 2022 starting at approximately 3:00 p.m.:

  • Eutaw Street from Pratt to Camden Streets
  • Camden Street from Howard to Russell Streets
  • Hamburg Street from Russell to Leadenhall Streets
  • Washington Boulevard from Paca to Greene Streets

In addition, the following parking restrictions will be implemented on Friday, June 17, 2022 beginning at 3:00 p.m.:

  • East side of Greene Street from Lombard Street to Washington Boulevard
  • East side of Eutaw Street from Pratt to Lombard Streets
  • North side of Conway Street from Charles to Sharp Streets

The road closures and parking restrictions listed above will also be implemented on Saturday, June 18, 2022 starting at approximately 1:00 p.m. and on Sunday, June 19, 2022 starting at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Transportation Enforcement Officers will be stationed at key intersections to assist with the movement of traffic in the downtown area.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians, especially when approaching designated crosswalks.

 

Traffic Modifications for AFRAM

This weekend, traffic modifications will be implemented for AFRAM which will be held in Druid Hill Park.

In preparation for the event, the following roadways are now closed to through traffic and will remain closed until approximately 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022 with detours in effect:

  • Wyman Park Drive at Sisson Street
  • Druid Park Lake Drive at Swann Drive – vehicles will be allowed to enter Druid Hill Park on Saturday and Sunday at this location for event parking until at capacity, and then this entrance will close.
  • Beechwood Drive at Gwynns Falls Parkway – vehicles will be allowed to enter Druid Hill Park on Saturday and Sunday at this location for event parking until at capacity, and then this entrance will close.

Event parking is also available at Mondawmin Mall on lots E1 and E2 with shuttle service to Druid Hill Park from 10:30 a.m. to close on Saturday and Sunday.

Traffic Modifications for the Juneteenth Festival

This Saturday, temporary traffic modifications will be implemented for the 6th annual Juneteenth Festival which will be held along a portion of Madison Avenue.

In preparation for the event, Madison Avenue will be closed to through traffic on Saturday, June 18, 2022 between Hendler Lane and Whitelock Street from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the PRIDE of Mt. Vernon

This Saturday, temporary traffic modifications will be implemented for the PRIDE of Mt. Vernon event which will be held along a portion of Read Street.

In preparation for the event, Read Street will be closed to through traffic on Saturday, June 18, 2022 between Park Avenue and N. Howard Street from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Lane Closures Along Hilton Parkway

On Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of Hilton Parkway for cleaning activities.

On Saturday, June 18, 2022, temporary right lane closures will be implemented along north and southbound Hilton Parkway between Edmondson Avenue and North Avenue from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Lane Closures Along Howard Street

On Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of Howard Street for graffiti removal.

On Saturday, June 18, 2022, temporary left lane closures will be implemented along Howard Street between 21st and Preston Streets from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Pine Street Crane Lift

On Saturday, a portion of Pine Street will be closed for a crane lift operation.

On Saturday, June 18, 2022, Pine Street will be closed to through traffic between Saratoga and Lexington Streets from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with parking restrictions and detours in effect. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Lancaster Street Crane Lift

This Saturday, a portion of Lancaster Street will be closed for a crane lift operation.

On Saturday, June 18, 2022, Lancaster Street will be closed to through traffic between Central Avenue and Eden Street from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with parking restrictions and detours in effect. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, June 19, 2022 the following streets will be closed to through traffic from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

  • Hillen Street from Fallsway to Holliday Street
  • Holliday Street from Pleasant Street to Saratoga Street
  • Holliday Street at Pleasant Street off ramp left lane closure

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Lane Closures Along the Jones Falls Expressway

On Sunday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along the Jones Falls Expressway for cleaning activities.

On Sunday, June 19, 2022, temporary left lane closures will be implemented along the north and southbound Jones Falls Expressway between Fayette Street and the county line from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
