Weekend Road Closures for Friday, April 21 Through Sunday, April 23, 2023

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary traffic modifications and road closures for the following activities this weekend.  Please download the Waze.com app for live detour navigation. 

Traffic Modifications for Weekend Baltimore Orioles Home Games

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that temporary traffic modifications that will be in effect for the Baltimore Orioles home games which will be held this weekend at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

In preparation for Friday’s game, the following streets will be closed on Friday, April 21, 2023 starting at approximately 4:00 p.m.:

  • Eutaw Street from Pratt to Camden Streets
  • Camden Street from Howard to Russell Streets
  • Hamburg Street from Russell to Leadenhall Streets

In addition, the following parking restrictions will be implemented on Friday, April 21, 2023 beginning at 4:00 p.m.:

  • East side of Eutaw Street from Pratt to Lombard Streets
  • North side of Conway Street from Charles to Sharp Streets
  • East side of Greene Street, from Lombard Street to Washington Boulevard
  • North side of Pratt Street, from Greene Street to Paca Street

The road closures and parking restrictions listed above will also be implemented on Saturday, April 22, 2023 starting at approximately 4:00 p.m. and on Sunday, April 23, 2023 starting at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Transportation Enforcement Officers will be stationed at key intersections to assist with the movement of traffic in the downtown area.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians, especially when approaching designated crosswalks. 

 

Lane Closures for CFG Bank Arena Events

This weekend, temporary lane closures will be implemented in the vicinity of the new CFG Bank Arena.

The following lane closures will be implemented on Friday, April 21, 2023 from approximately 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.:

  • Northbound Howard Street at Pratt Street - left lane closure
  • Eastbound Pratt Street at Howard Street - left lane closure
  • Westbound Lombard Street at Howard Street - right lane closure
  • Eastbound Baltimore Street between Howard Street and Park Avenue - left lane closure

The lane closures listed above will also be implemented on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2023.

Traffic Modifications for Crane, Cleaning and Repair Operations and Special Events

This weekend, temporary road and lane closures will be in effect for crane and cleaning operations.  

On Saturday, April 22, 2023, the following road and lane closures will be implemented:

  • St. Paul Street lane and sidewalk closures at Saratoga Street 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (crane operation)
  • Lovegrove Street closed at 33rd Street 3:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (crane operation)
  • Eutaw Place closed between McMechen and Lafayette Streets 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (crane operation)
  • Howard Street right lane closure northbound and southbound between North Avenue and John Street 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (graffiti removal)
  • Jones Falls Expressway southbound right lane closures between the county line and the 29th Street ramp 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (street lighting work)
  • N. Charles Street closed between 21st and 22nd Streets 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Family Fun Day event)
  • W. Baltimore Street closed between S. Payson and S. Pulaski Streets 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (Grace Community Day event)

On Sunday, April 23, 2023, the following lane closures will be implemented:

  • Jones Falls Expressway north and southbound left lane closures between Fayette Street and the county line 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (right of way cleaning)

Motorists traveling in these vicinities should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, April 23, 2023 the following street and lane closures will be implemented from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

  • Holliday Street closed from Pleasant Street to Saratoga Street
  • Pleasant Street closed at Holliday Street
  • Hillen Street center lane closure at Fallsway

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
