Road Closures for St. Patrick's Day Celebrations in Canton

This weekend, temporary road closures will be in effect in Canton for St. Patrick's Day celebrations.  

Starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2024 until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, 2024 the following roadways will be closed to through traffic with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

• Both sides of O'Donnell Street along O'Donnell Square between Linwood Avenue and S. Potomac Street.
• S. Curley Street between O’Donnell and Elliott Streets.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Road Closure for the Meet in the Street Event

This weekend, a temporary road closure will be in effect for the Meet in the Street event.

Starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2024 until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2024 the following road will be closed to through traffic with detours and paring restrictions in effect:

•  S. Curley Street between O’Donnell and Dillon Streets.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Road Closure for the 8^th Annual St. Paddy's Block Party

This weekend, a temporary road closure will be in effect for the 8^th annual St. Paddy's Day Block Party.  

Starting at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024 until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, 2024 the following road will be closed to through traffic with detours and paring restrictions in effect:

•  S. Charles Street between Fort Avenue and Clement Street.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Traffic Modifications for Weekend Activities

This weekend, temporary lane closures will be in effect for various activities including street lighting repairs, cleaning activities and crane operations. 

On Saturday, March 16, 2024, the following lane and road closures will be implemented (times approximate):

• Jones Falls Expressway / I-83 southbound right lane closures between the city/county line and Coldspring Lane 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (street lighting repairs).
• MD 295 northbound and southbound right lane closures between Hamburg Street and the city/county line 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (cleaning activities).
• East Avenue closed between Eastern Avenue and Bank Street 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (crane operation).
• Hamilton Street closed between Park Avenue and Cathedral Street 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (crane operation).
• Key Highway closed between Covington and Cross Streets 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (crane operation).
• 33^rd Street closed between Calvert and St. Paul Streets 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (crane operation).

On Sunday, March 17, 2024, the following lane closures will be implemented (times approximate):

• Jones Falls Expressway / I-83 northbound and southbound left lane closures between Fayette Street and the city/county line 6:00 a.m. to3:00 p.m. (cleaning activities and repair work).
