Falls Road and Northern Parkway Study
The purpose of this study is to identify operational improvements in the vicinity of Falls road and Northern Parkway for multimodal transportation. The intersection of falls road and Northern parkway has a higher than average crash rate, traffic congestion, and lack of adequate pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure. The study will focus on developing a menu of improvements, concepts, and costs for multi-modal improvements.
The project study limits include Falls Road from the Baltimore County line to Elmwood Road and Norther parkway from Gascony Lane to Cylburn Avenue.
The Study began December 1, 2019 and is expected to be a 12-month study period ending in early December 2020.
- On May 21, 2020, DOT held a virtual public meeting to review data collected within the study area.
- On December 4, 2019, DOT held the public kick-off meeting.
- The Final Report is available for review and download March 3, 2021. Comments on the Final Report can be submitted below through April 5, 2021.
The Department of Transportation held a public meeting for the Falls Road and Northern parkway Study on October 29, 2020. The draft report is now available for review and comments.
