High Traffic Volumes Expected Downtown Friday Afternoon

Motorists should plan ahead for the evening commute

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that high volumes of traffic are expected in downtown Baltimore during the afternoon/evening rush hour on Friday, June 10, 2016.

The Beyoncé concert will be held Friday evening at M&T Bank Stadium beginning at 7:30 p.m. along with other downtown events.  Because of these activities, high volumes of traffic are expected in the downtown area during the afternoon peak travel time.  Motorists who will be traveling downtown on Friday afternoon are encouraged to plan ahead and allow additional travel time

Commuters should also be advised that all parking restrictions and residential permit parking regulations in the vicinity of the stadium will be strictly enforced.  Patrons attending the concert who do not have a parking permit for any of the stadium lots are strongly encouraged to use public transportation including mass transit, Light Rail, Metro Subway or the Charm City Circulator.

Patrons choosing to drive to the stadium should park at commercial lots and avoid area neighborhoods.  Parking Control Agents will enforce all posted parking restrictions in the vicinity of the stadium and vehicles parked in violation will be ticketed and towed.  Citizens with questions concerning the location of their vehicle should call 311.
