Weekend Road Closures for July 28, 2017

Baltimore Road Race

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications that will be in effect for the Baltimore Road Race.  The race will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 starting at 8:00 a.m.

The footrace will begin and end at the intersection of Park Heights Avenue and Quantico Road.  Participants will proceed north along Park Heights Avenue to Pimlico Race Course where they will turn around.  Runners will then head south along Park Heights Avenue to the finish line at Quantico Road. 

In preparation for the event, northbound Park Heights Avenue will be closed to through traffic on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with parking restrictions in effect.  Northbound traffic will be detoured to Reisterstown Road. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Pratt Street Temporary Lane Closures

On Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of Pratt Street for a crane lift operation.  On Saturday, July 29, 2017, various lane closures will be implemented along Pratt Street between Market Place and President Street  from 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.

 

Baltimore Street Temporary Closure

On Saturday, a portion of Baltimore Street will be temporarily closed for a crane lift operation.  On Saturday, July 29, 2017, Baltimore Street will be closed to through traffic between Hopkins Place and Charles Street from 3:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with detours in effect.

Local access to the Lord Baltimore Hotel will be maintained via Hanover Street during this time.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Eastern Avenue Lane Closures

On Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of Eastern Avenue for a crane lift operation.  On Saturday, July 29, 2017, temporary lane closures will be implemented along Eastern Avenue between Broadway and Regester Street from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  A flagging operation will be in effect during this time to direct motorists through the work area.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Broadway Temporary Closure

On Saturday, a portion of Broadway will be temporarily closed for a crane lift operation.  On Saturday, July 29, 2017, Broadway will be closed to through traffic between Lancaster and Thames Streets from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon with detours in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Saratoga Street Temporary Closure

On Saturday, a portion of Saratoga Street will be temporarily closed for a crane lift operation.  On Saturday, July 29, 2017, Saratoga Street will be closed to through traffic between St. Paul and Charles Streets from 2:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with detours in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
