Traffic Modifications for the Charles Street 12 Footrace
The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications that will be in effect for the Charles Street 12 Footrace which will be held on Saturday, September 02, 2017. The event kicks off at 7:30 a.m.
The race begins in Towson along Kenilworth Drive. Participants will run through Towson and enter the city on N. Charles Street at Gittings Avenue. They will continue south along N. Charles Street, left on Lee Street, right on Light Street, left on Key Highway and left on the Key Highway extension to finish at Tide Point.
In preparation for the event, the one lane of traffic will be coned off for runners along the race route with parking restrictions in effect. Motorists should be advised that temporary traffic stops will be implemented along the race route for the safety of participants. Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
Temporary Road Closures for the BSO’s Annual Gala Celebration
The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the road closures that will be in effect for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s annual Gala Celebration which will be held on Saturday, September 09, 2017.
In preparation for the event, the following streets will be closed to through traffic with parking prohibited and detours in effect:
Preston Street will be closed between Cathedral and Howard Streets starting at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 03, 2017 until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017.
Park Avenue will be closed between Howard and Cathedral Streets on Saturday, September 09, 2016 from 12:00 noon until 12:00 midnight.
Detour signs will be posted in the area. Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
