Traffic Modifications for the Columbus Day Parade

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the street closures and parking restrictions in effect for the Columbus Day Parade which will be held on Sunday, October 08, 2017

The parade will step from Key Highway and Light Street beginning at 2:00 p.m.  Parade participants will proceed north on Light Street, east on Pratt Street, and south on President Street to end at Eastern Avenue.

In preparation for the event, the following streets will be closed to through traffic on Sunday, October 08, 2017 with parking restrictions in effect:

  • Westbound Key Highway between Cross and Light Streets from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. 
  • Northbound Light Street between Lee and Pratt Streets from 1:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Pratt Street between Calvert and President Streets from 1:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Southbound President Street between Pratt Street and Eastern Avenue from 1:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Commuters should be advised that temporary traffic stops will  be implemented along the parade route for the safety of participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid congestion and delays.
