Traffic Modifications for Detective Sean Suiter’s Funeral Procession

Major delays expected Wednesday afternoon during procession

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications in effect for the funeral and procession of fallen Baltimore City Detective Sean Suiter. 

In preparation for the service on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, Radecke Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Cedonia and Hamilton Avenues from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The funeral procession is expected to depart Radecke Avenue early Wednesday afternoon and will affect roadways in Baltimore City and county, including northbound I-895, northbound I-95, the outer loop of I-695 (Baltimore Beltway), and northbound I-83 (Baltimore-Harrisburg Expressway).  Padonia Road will also be affected, as the procession makes it way to Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. 

Motorists should be aware that during times of movement for the funeral service, there will be temporary road closures along the procession routeMajor delays are expected during this time.  Citizens who do not have to travel on Wednesday in the vicinity of the funeral service/procession route are strongly encouraged to avoid these areas.
