The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that the closure of the exit ramp to westbound Mt. Royal Avenue from the southbound Jones Falls Expressway will be extended due to inclement weather. 

At this time, the exit ramp from the southbound Jones Falls Expressway to westbound Mt. Royal Avenue is closed to through traffic with detours in effect.  This ramp is now expected to reopen to traffic at approximately 6:00 a.m. on Friday, September 21, 2018. 

During the closure, motorists trying to access westbound Mt. Royal Avenue from the southbound Jones Falls Expressway will be detoured onto southbound St. Paul Street, westbound on Preston Street, northbound on Charles Street to Mt. Royal Avenue.

Variable message signs will be posted in the area to alert citizens of the closure.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and should allow additional travel time along the detour route.
