Weekend Road Closures for September 21, 2018

Traffic Modifications for the Donate Life Family Fun 5K Run

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications in effect for the Donate Life Family Fun 5K Run.  The event will be held in the vicinity of M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday, September 22, 2018 starting at 9:00 a.m.

The race will start along Raven’s Walk and participants will turn left on Lee Street, left onto southbound Russell Street, right on W. Hamburg Street, and left on Bayard Street.  The course proceeds left on Wicomico Street,  right on W. Ostend Street, left on S. Sharp Street, right onto W. West Street, followed by a left on Leadenhall Street.  Participants will turn left back onto W. Hamburg Street, across the bridge to a left U-turn around the Unitas Statue then head towards M&T Stadium, and complete one loop around M&T Bank Stadium along Raven’s Walk continuing to exit through Unitas Plaza.  The course will cross over Hamburg Street to Ravens Walk then to the overpass for Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard finish.   

During the event, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race routes wherever possible.  Commuters should be aware that temporary traffic stops will be implemented along the race route for the safety of participants

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Pigtown Festival

This Saturday, September 22, 2018 traffic modifications will be implemented  for the annual Pigtown Festival which will be held along Washington Boulevard in southwest Baltimore. 

In preparation for the event, the following roadways will be closed to through traffic on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. through Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 9:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • Washington Boulevard from Barre to Cross Streets
  • Scott Street from Carroll to Ramsey Streets

Motorists are urged to pay strict attention to posted parking restrictions and to use alternate routes while traveling in this vicinity.
