Traffic Modifications for the Maryland Walk to End Lupus Now

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications in effect for the 2018 Maryland Walk to End Lupus Now.  The event will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 starting at 8:00 a.m.

The walk will start along Boston Street at the intersection of S. Clinton Street and will proceed west on Boston Street, left on Aliceanna Street, left on Wolfe Street, and left onto Lancaster Street.  Participants will continue walking east along the waterfront to finish at Canton Waterfront Park past the Korean War Memorial.

During the event, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race routes wherever possible.  Commuters should be aware that temporary traffic stops will be implemented along the race route for the safety of participants. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.

Traffic Modifications for the Marian House Race to Embrace Independence 5K

This Saturday, September 29, 2018 temporary lane closures will be in effect for the Marion House Race to Embrace Independence 5K.  The event will kick off at 8:00 a.m.

Participants will begin the race at Lake Montebello and turn right onto E. 33^rd Street, left on Ellerslie Avenue, left onto Gorsuch Avenue, and left onto Loch Raven Boulevard.  The course proceeds right onto E. 33^rd Street, left onto Curran Drive and right onto the lake loop to continue counterclockwise to the finish line.

During the event, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible.  Commuters should be aware that temporary traffic stops may be implemented in this area for the safety of participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Hilton Parkway Lane Closures

This Saturday, temporary lane closures will be in effect along a portion of Hilton Parkway for maintenance work.

On Saturday, September 29, 2018 temporary lane closures will be in effect along both north and southbound Hilton Parkway between North Avenue and Edmondson Avenue from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
