Portion of Hamilton Avenue to Temporarily Close for Roadway Construction

Westbound Frankford Avenue and Carter Avenue will also be affected

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that portions of Hamilton Avenue, westbound Frankford Avenue and Carter Avenue will temporarily close for roadway construction, as part of the on-going Geometric Improvement Project.   

Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 and continuing until approximately 12:00 noon on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 the following roadways will be closed to through traffic with detours in effect, weather permitting:

  • Hamilton Avenue will be closed between Frankford Avenue and Walther Boulevard
  • Westbound Frankford Avenue will be closed between Walther Boulevard and Hamilton Avenue
  • Carter Avenue will be closed between Hamilton and Evergreen Avenues

Variable message signs will be placed in the area to alert motorists of the closure.  Access will be maintained for local traffic.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
