Lane Closures Continue Along the Edmondson Avenue Bridge for Construction Activities

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that temporary lane closures will be implemented in the vicinity of the Edmondson Avenue Bridge for construction activities.

Starting on Monday, December 17, 2018, the right lane of westbound Edmondson Avenue will be closed daily along the bridge from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.  In addition, the ramp from westbound Edmondson Avenue to northbound Hilton Parkway will also be closed daily during this time with detours in effect.  Signs will be posted in the area to alert motorists of the closure, and traffic trying to access northbound Hilton Parkway should follow the detour route via Hilton Street.

This portion of Edmondson Avenue, along with the ramp from westbound Edmondson Avenue to northbound Hilton Parkway will also be closed nightly from 7:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the next morning.

These daily and nightly closures are expected to remain in effect for approximately one month, weather permitting.  The lane closures will not be implemented on December 24 and 25, 2018 along with December 31, 2018 and January 01, 2019 to accommodate holiday travel.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity may experience congestion and delays, and are encouraged to plan ahead by allowing additional commute time.
