Repairs completed ahead of schedule and bridge will be open for the start of the new school year
The Baltimore City Department of Transportation and Department of Public Works are pleased to announce that the Warren Road Bridge repairs are now complete. With repair work finished ahead of schedule, the Warren Road Bridge is scheduled to open for motorists by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2019.
The Warren Road Bridge, which crosses over the city-owned Loch Raven Reservoir, has been closed to vehicular traffic since April for emergency repair work to the bridge superstructure. Repair work, which was expected to be finished in early September, has been completed ahead of schedule. The bridge will now reopen prior to the start of the new school year, which will improve commute times for many Baltimore and Harford County residents.
Located in northern Baltimore County, the Warren Road Bridge is owned by the Baltimore City Department of Public Works and managed by the Department of Transportation. Department of Public Works Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E. and Transportation Director Steve Sharkey would like to thank area residents, businesses and motorists for their patience during construction, as Baltimore City worked to ensure the safety of the bridge and improve the transportation network in Baltimore’s watersheds.
