Traffic Modifications for the Charles Street 12 Footrace

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications that will be in effect for the Charles Street 12 Footrace which will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019.  The event kicks off at 7:30 a.m.

The race begins in Towson along Kenilworth Drive.  Participants will run through Towson and enter the city on N. Charles Street from Stevenson Lane.  They will continue south along N. Charles Street, left on Lee Street, right on Light Street, left on Key Highway, and left on the Key Highway extension to finish at Tide Point in front of Under Armour.

In preparation for the event, the one lane of traffic will be coned off for runners along the race route with parking restrictions in effect.  Citizens should be advised that temporary traffic stops may be implemented along the race route for the safety of participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Cadillac Parade

On Saturday, August 31, 2019 traffic modifications will be implemented for the Cadillac Parade which will be held along Pennsylvania Avenue and kicks off at 10:00 a.m.  The parade will begin at North Avenue and end at Dolphin Street. 

During the event, Pennsylvania Avenue will be closed to through traffic between North Avenue and Dolphin Street from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  In addition, all intersecting streets along the parade route on Pennsylvania Avenue will be closed during the event. 

Citizens should be advised that temporary traffic stops may be implemented in the vicinity of the parade for the safety of participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Paca Street Closure for Crane Operation

This Saturday, a portion of Paca Street will be closed for a crane lift operation.  On Saturday, August 31, 2019, Paca Street will be closed to through traffic between Fayette and Lexington Streets from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with detours in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
