Hanover Street Bridge Closure Scheduled for This Weekend Has Been CANCELED

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that the Hanover Street Bridge/Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge closure originally scheduled for this weekend, November 22-24, 2019 has been CANCELED.

The next weekend closure of the Hanover Street Bridge/Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge is tentatively scheduled to occur at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2019 through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2019, weather permitting.

Overnight Closure of Baltimore Street for Ongoing Resurfacing Activities

This weekend, a portion of Baltimore Street will close overnight for resurfacing work. 

On Friday, November 22, 2019, Baltimore Street will be closed to through traffic between Calvert and Gay Streets starting at 11:00 p.m. weather permitting.  This closure will remain in effect until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2019.

This stretch of Baltimore Street may also close on Sunday, November 23, 2019 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. if additional time is needed due to possible delays from inclement weather.

Detour signs and parking restrictions will be posted during the closures.  Motorists should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns if traveling in this vicinity and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.  MTA buses will also be detoured during this time, so residents are encouraged to visit mta.maryland.gov for additional information.

Crane Operation Along St. Paul Street

On Saturday, a portion of St. Paul Street will temporarily close for a crane lift operation.  On Saturday, November 23, 2019, St. Paul Street will be closed to through traffic between 33^rd and 34^th Streets from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weather permitting, with detours and parking restrictions in effect. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

20^th Street Crane Operation

On Sunday, a portion of 20th Street will temporarily close for a crane lift operation.  On Sunday, November 24, 2019, 20th Street will be closed to through traffic between Maryland Avenue and Charles Streets from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weather permitting with detours and parking restrictions in effect. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
