Weekend Road Closures for December 13-15, 2019

Traffic Modifications for the Celtic Solstice Five Mile Run

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications that will be implemented for the Celtic Solstice Five Mile Run.  The event will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon in Druid Hill Park.

In preparation for the event, the following entrances to Druid Hill Park will be closed on Saturday, December 14, 2019 starting at 6:30 a.m. until clear:

  • Entrance to Park at Wyman Park Drive
  • Entrance to Park at Swann Drive
  • Entrance to Park at Gwynns Falls Parkway
  • Entrance to Park at Liberty Heights Avenue
  • Entrance to Park at Greenspring Avenue and Druid Park Drive

In addition, the following lanes closures will be implemented beginning at 6:30 a.m. until clear for parking:

  • Right lane of westbound Druid Park Lake Drive from Swann Drive to McCulloh Street                                    
  • Right lane of northbound McCulloh Street/Auchentoroly Terrace from Fulton Ave to Liberty Heights Avenue

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Light Street Crane Operation

On Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of Light Street for a crane lift operation.  On Saturday, December 14, 2019, a double lane closure will be implemented along Light Street between Pratt and Conway Streets from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

 

Maryland Avenue Lane Closures

This weekend, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of Maryland Avenue for a crane lift operation.  On Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15, 2019 a double lane closure will be implemented along Maryland Avenue between 20th and 22nd Streets from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

 

Greene Street Crane Operation

On Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of Greene Street for a crane lift operation.  On Saturday, December 14, 2019, a double lane closure will be implemented along Greene Street between Lombard and Penn Streets from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

 

Centre Street Crane Operation

On Saturday, a portion of Centre Street will be temporarily closed for a crane lift operation.  On Saturday, December 14, 2019, Centre Street will be closed between Ploy Street and Park Avenue from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

 

Brunt Street Crane Operation

On Saturday, a portion of Brunt Street will be temporarily closed for a crane lift operation.  On Saturday, December 14, 2019, Brunt Street will be closed between Wilson and McMechen Streets from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
