Weekend Road Closures for February 14-16, 2020

Traffic Modifications for Cupid’s Undie Run

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications in effect for Cupid’s Undie Run which will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from noon to 4:00 p.m.

The run kicks off from Power Plant Live at 34 Market Place and proceeds right on Pratt Street, and left onto Light Street to the turnaround point prior to Key Highway.  Participants will follow this same route back to Power Plant Live to finish.

During the event, one lane of through traffic will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible, and parking will be restricted along both sides of Market Place from Pratt to Water Streets. 

Motorists should be aware that temporary traffic stops may be implemented along the race route for the safety of participants.  Commuters traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.    

 

Lane Closures Along the Jones Falls Expressway

This Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of the Jones Falls Expressway (JFX) for street lighting activities.  

On Saturday, February 15, 2020, temporary lane closures will be implemented along the southbound Jones Falls Expressway between Northern Parkway and 28th Street from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  In addition, the Falls Road access ramp to the southbound Jones Falls Expressway will also temporarily close for tree trimming work during this time.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

E. Madison Street Closure

This weekend, a portion of E. Madison Street will be closed for a crane operation.  Starting at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2020, E. Madison Street will be closed through traffic between Wolfe Street and Rutland Avenue with detours and parking restrictions in effect.  This portion of E. Madison Street will remain closed until approximately 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2020.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

34th Street Crane Operation

This Saturday, a portion of 34th Street will be closed for a crane operation.  On Saturday, February 15, 2020, 34th Street will be closed through traffic between Charles and St. Paul Streets from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Boston Street Flagging Operation

This weekend, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of Boston Street for utility work.  On Saturday, February 15 and Sunday, February 16, 2020, temporary lane closures will be implemented along Boston Street at the intersection of Haven Street from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  A traffic flagging operation will be implemented at this intersection during these times to direct motorists through the work zone.

San Martin Drive Crane Operation

This Saturday, a portion of San Martin Drive will be closed for a crane operation.  On Saturday, February 15, 2020, San Martin Drive will be closed through traffic between Wyman Park Drive and University Parkway from 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Tunbridge Road Crane Operation

This Saturday, a portion of Tunbridge Road will be closed for a crane operation.  On Saturday, February 15, 2020, Tunbridge Road will be closed through traffic between Spring Lake Way and St. Albans Way from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Falls Road Flagging Operation

This Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of Falls Road for utility work.  On Saturday, February 15, 2020, temporary lane closures will be implemented along Falls Road between Bellemore Road and Kelly Avenue from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  A traffic flagging operation will be implemented at this intersection during this time to direct motorists through the work zone.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Lane Closures Along the I-295

This Sunday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of I-295 for maintenance activities. 

On Sunday, February 16, 2020, temporary lane closures will be implemented along northbound and southbound I-295 between Bush Street and the county line from 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  In addition, ramps to and from the expressway along this stretch of I-295 will also intermittently close during this time.
