The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that a temporary closure and lane closures will be implemented along a portion of eastbound North Avenue for utility work. 

Beginning at approximately 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, eastbound North Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Maryland Avenue and St.  Paul Street with detours in effect.  This portion of North Avenue will be closed throughout the afternoon on Tuesday as traffic signal work is performed. 

Once this work is complete, one lane of travel along eastbound North Avenue will be reopened to through traffic.  This portion of eastbound North Avenue will be reduced to one lane for approximately two days, while utility work is being performed.  During this time, flagging crews will direct traffic through the work area.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
