Roadway Resurfacing Work Will Soon Begin at Several Locations in Baltimore City

Resurfacing work will improve road conditions in city communities

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that several resurfacing projects will soon begin to improve roadways in city communities.

Roadway resurfacing work will begin in the following areas on or about the dates listed below:

  • Edgewood Street from Joh Avenue to Koopers Street – April 27, 2020
  • North Point Road from Pulaski Highway to North Point Boulevard – April 29, 2020
  • Groveland Avenue from Garrison Boulevard to Hillsdale Road – May 1, 2020

The work will include milling and paving of the roadway along with structure adjustments, gutter pan repairs and ADA ramps as needed.  Crews will be performing resurfacing activities weekdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day, weather permitting.  These projects should take approximately 90 days to complete.

During construction, daily lane closures and parking restrictions will be implemented along the work zones.  Residents and motorists are strongly encouraged to pay close attention to posted parking restrictions so that work can be completed expeditiously.  Vehicles parked in violation are subject to being ticketed and towed.

Motorists traveling in these areas should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
