Heavy Traffic Expected in Vicinity of Camden Yards Sports Complex this Saturday, May 2, 2020

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that heavy traffic is expected in the vicinity of the Camden Yards Sports Complex this Saturday, May 2, 2020.  The World Central Kitchen (WCK) will be utilizing Lots G and H of the stadium complex as a meal distribution site for city residents. 

On Saturday, May 2, 2020, meals will be distributed on stadium Lot G from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Residents who are picking up meals should enter the stadium complex via Lot H which is accessible from 1200 S. Sharp Street and 200 W. West Street.  Vehicles will exit the distribution site via the stadium access road parallel to Hamburg Street.

Residents and motorists should be advised that a large turnout is expected for this event.  Vehicles arriving for meal distributions will be queued in stadium Lot H to avoid creating congestion in surrounding communities.  High volumes of traffic are expected in the vicinity of the stadium complex Saturday morning and early afternoon.  Heavy traffic is expected along the following roadways, including Hanover Street, Russell Street, Hamburg Street, Leadenhall Street, West Street and Sharpe Street. 

The Department of Transportation will deploy Transportation Enforcement Officers (TEOs) at key intersections near the stadium to help facilitate the movement of traffic.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity on Saturday should plan ahead by allowing additional travel time and using alternate routes.
