Weekend Road Closures for April 16-18, 2021

Lane Closures Along the Northbound Jones Falls Expressway

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that temporary lane closures will be implemented along the northbound Jones Falls Expressway this Saturday for street lighting repair work. 

On Saturday, April 17, 2021, temporary right lane closures will be implemented along the northbound Jones Falls Expressway between North Avenue and the county line from 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., weather permitting.  In addition, the exit ramp from the northbound Jones Falls Expressway to eastbound Northern Parkway will also be closed during this time.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Lane Closures Along MD-295

This Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along MD-295 for cleaning activities. 

On Saturday, April 17, 2021, temporary right lane closures will be implemented along northbound MD-295 between Waterview Avenue and Bush Street, and along southbound MD-295 between Bush Street and Annapolis Road from 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., weather permitting.  In addition, temporary lane closures will also be implemented along the following ramps:

  • Westport entrance and exit ramps
  • Annapolis Road entrance and exit ramps
  • Monroe Street ramp to northbound MD-295

Motorists traveling in these vicinities should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Temporary Closure of N. Charles Street on Saturday, April 17, 2021

This Saturday, a portion of N. Charles Street will be temporarily closed for roadway art painting. 

On Saturday, April 17, 2021 N. Charles Street will be closed to through traffic between 21st and 23rd Streets from 10:00 a.m. to approximately 9:00 p.m. (until roadway painting is complete and dry) weather permitting, with detours and parking restrictions in effect.  Detour signs will be posted in the area to alert motorists of the closure.

Motorists traveling in this area should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

 

W. University Parkway Closure for Crane Operation

This Saturday, a portion of W. University Parkway will be closed for a crane lift operation.

On Saturday, April 17, 2021, W. University Parkway will be closed to through traffic between Bishops Road and Canterbury Road from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with detours in effect, weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

N. Calvert Street Closure for Crane Operation

This Saturday, a portion of N. Calvert Street will be closed for a crane lift operation.

On Saturday, April 17, 2021, N. Calvert Street will be closed to through traffic between E. University Parkway and Homewood Terrace from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with detours in effect, weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

E. Baltimore Street Closure for Crane Operation

This Saturday, a portion of E. Baltimore Street will be closed for a crane lift operation.

On Saturday, April 17, 2021, E. Baltimore Street will be closed to through traffic between S. Frederick Street and President Street from 4:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with detours in effect, weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Redwood Street Closures for Crane Operations

This Saturday, two portions of W. Redwood Street will be closed for crane lift operations.

On Saturday, April 17, 2021, Redwood Street will be closed to through traffic at the following locations from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect, weather permitting:

  • W. Redwood Street closed between S. Pine Street and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard
  • W. Redwood Street closed between S. Eutaw Street and S. Paca Street

Motorists traveling in these vicinities should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, April 18, 2021 the following streets will be closed to through traffic from 5:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

  • Hillen Street from Fallsway to Holliday Street
  • Holliday Street from Pleasant Street to Saratoga Street
  • Holliday Street at Pleasant Street off ramp left lane closure

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
