Weekend Road Closures for June 25-27, 2021

Weekend Road Closures and Parking Restrictions in Fells Point

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that temporary road closures and parking restrictions will be implemented this weekend in Fells Point.

Starting on Friday, June 25, 2021 and continuing each evening through Sunday, June 27, 2021, all through traffic will be restricted in Fells Point from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. within the following geographical boundaries:

  • South of Aliceanna Street
  • North of Thames Street
  • East of S. Bond Street
  • West of S. Ann Street

In addition, the following parking restrictions will also be implemented in Fells Point on Friday, June 25 through Sunday, June 27, 2021 each day from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.:

  • Broadway from Aliceanna to Lancaster Streets
  • Broadway from Shakespeare to Thames Streets
  • 1600-1800 blocks of Thames Street
  • 1600-1700 blocks of Lancaster Street
  • 1600 block of Shakespeare Street

Fells Point visitors and residents should pay close attention to all posted parking restrictions and avoid parking in restricted areas.  Residential Permit Parking (RPP) will be strictly enforced throughout the weekend in Fells Point (RPP Area 16) and vehicles parked in violation will be ticketed

Fells Point Residential Permit Parking in Area 16 will be enforced along the following roadways:

• Aliceanna Street     • Broadway

• Fleet Street              • Shakespeare Street

• Ann Street               • Thames Street

• Lancaster Street     • Dallas Street

• Bethel Street           • Wolfe Street

• Register Street        • Durham Street

• Bond Street             • Fell Street

To ensure that Fells Point residents have access to parking near their homes, residents will be allowed to access areas closed to through traffic with their Area 16 Residential Parking permits.

Motorists should be aware that additional road closures and parking restrictions may be implemented in the vicinity of Fells Point throughout the weekend if needed.  Motorists traveling in this area should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

 

Lane and Ramp Closures Along the Jones Falls Expressway

This weekend, temporary lane and ramp closures will be implemented along the Jones Falls Expressway for street lighting work. 

On Saturday, June 26, 2021, temporary right lane closures will be implemented along the southbound Jones Falls Expressway between North Avenue and Guilford Avenue from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., weather permitting.  

Then on Sunday, June 27, 2021 the Cold Spring Lane eastbound and westbound exit ramps from the northbound Jones Falls Expressway will also intermittently close between 5:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. with detours in effect, weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

N. Charles Street Crane Operation

This Saturday, a portion of northbound N. Charles Street will be closed for a crane lift operation. 

On Saturday, June 26, 2021, northbound N. Charles Street will be closed to through traffic between E. 33rd and E. 34th Streets from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect, weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this area should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

 

Belair Road Crane Operation

This Saturday, a portion of Belair Road will be closed for a crane lift operation. 

On Saturday, June 26, 2021, Belair Road will be closed to through traffic between White and Bayonne Avenues from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect, weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this area should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

 

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, June 27, 2021 the following streets will be closed to through traffic from approximately 5:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

  • Hillen Street from Fallsway to Holliday Street
  • Holliday Street from Pleasant Street to Saratoga Street
  • Holliday Street at Pleasant Street off ramp left lane closure

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
