Weekend Road Closures and Parking Restrictions in Fells Point

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that temporary road closures and parking restrictions will be implemented this weekend in Fells Point.

Starting on Friday, September 17, 2021 and continuing each evening through Sunday, September 19, 2021, all through traffic will be restricted in Fells Point from approximately 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. within the following geographical boundaries:

  • South of Aliceanna Street
  • North of Thames Street
  • East of S. Bond Street
  • West of S. Ann Street

In addition, various parking restrictions will be implemented in Fells Point throughout the weekend.  Fells Point visitors and residents should pay close attention to all posted parking restrictions and avoid parking in restricted areas. 

Residential Permit Parking will be strictly enforced throughout the weekend in Fells Point (RPP Area 16) and vehicles parked in violation will be ticketed.  Fells Point Residential Permit Parking in Area 16 will be enforced along the following roadways:

• Aliceanna Street     • Broadway

• Fleet Street              • Shakespeare Street

• Ann Street               • Thames Street

• Lancaster Street     • Dallas Street

• Bethel Street           • Wolfe Street

• Register Street        • Durham Street

• Bond Street             • Fell Street

To ensure that residents have access to parking near their homes, residents will be allowed to access areas closed to through traffic with their ‘Area 16’ Residential Parking permits.

Motorists should be aware that additional road closures and parking restrictions may be implemented in the vicinity of Fells Point throughout the weekend if needed.  Motorists traveling in this area should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

 

Weekend Lane Closures Along Hilton Parkway

This weekend, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of Hilton Parkway for right-of-way cleaning activities.

On Saturday, September 18, 2021 temporary right lane closures will be implemented along both northbound and southbound Hilton Parkway between Edmondson Avenue and North Avenue from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Then on Sunday, September 19, 2021 temporary left lane closures will be implemented along this stretch of Hilton Parkway during these same times. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Weekend Lane Closures Along Northbound President Street

This weekend, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of northbound President Street for a crane lift operation. 

On Saturday, September 18 and Sunday, September 19, 2021 temporary lane closures will be implemented along northbound President Street between Fleet and Aliceanna Streets from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.  Only one lane of through traffic will be open along this stretch of northbound President Street during these times.  

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Festival of the West Indies

On Saturday, temporary traffic modifications will be implemented for the Festival of the West Indies J’ouvert Parade which will be held in Druid Hill Park.  The parade will begin at 7:00 a.m. and kicks off from the intersection of Wyman Park Drive and Keswick Road.  The parade proceeds south along Wyman Park Drive/East Road/Swann Drive in Druid Hill Park.  Participants will then turn right onto Beechwood Road to end near Field 4 and the Reptile House.

In preparation for the parade, the following roadways will be temporarily closed to through traffic on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with detours in effect:

  • Wyman Park Drive at Sisson Street
  • Beechwood Drive at Greenspring Avenue  

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Portion of E. 34th Street to Close for Crane Lift

This Saturday, a portion of E. 34th Street will temporarily close for a crane lift operation.

On Saturday, September 18, 2021, E. 34th Street will be closed to through traffic between Charles and St. Paul Streets from approximately 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Portion of N. Liberty Street to Close for Crane Lift

This Saturday, a portion of N. Liberty Street will temporarily close for a crane lift operation.

On Saturday, September 18, 2021, Liberty Street will be closed to through traffic between Marion and W. Fayette Streets from approximately 4:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight with detours and parking restrictions in effect. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, September 19, 2021 the following streets will be closed to through traffic from approximately 5:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

  • Hillen Street from Fallsway to Holliday Street
  • Holliday Street from Pleasant Street to Saratoga Street
  • Holliday Street at Pleasant Street off ramp left lane closure

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for Ravens Preseason Game at M&T Bank Stadium

On Sunday, traffic modifications will be implemented for the Baltimore Ravens football game against the Kansas City Chiefs which will be held at M&T Bank Stadium beginning at 8:20 p.m. 

Starting at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 19, 2021, the following roadways will be closed to through traffic:

  • Northbound Russell Street Service Drive (which runs alongside M&T Bank Stadium) between West and W. Hamburg Streets
  • W. Ostend Street Bridge between Warner and Sharp Streets
  • W. Hamburg Street between Russell and Leadenhall Streets
  • Hamburg Street west of Russell Street

In addition, various parking restrictions will be implemented in the vicinity of the stadium.  Fans attending the game should be advised that all posted parking restrictions and residential permit parking regulations will be strictly enforced for everyone’s safety.  Patrons choosing to drive to the stadium should park at commercial lots and avoid area neighborhoods.  Vehicles parked in violation are subject to being ticketed and towed.  Fans that do not have a parking permit for any of the stadium lots are strongly encouraged to use public transportation including the Metro SubwayLink, Light RailLink or the Charm City Circulator.  

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for heavy pedestrian/vehicular traffic and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
