Weekend Road Closures for March 4-6, 2022

Lane Closures Along the Jones Falls Expressway

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that temporary lane closures will be implemented along the Jones Falls Expressway this weekend for street lighting work, tree pruning and cleaning activities.

On Saturday, March 5, 2022, temporary lane closures will be implemented along the following portions of the Jones Falls Expressway from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., weather permitting:

  • Right lane closures along the northbound Jones Falls Expressway between North Avenue and Falls Road
  • Right lane closures along the southbound Jones Falls Expressway between Coldspring lane and North Avenue

Then on Sunday, March 6, 2022, street sweeping activities will occur along the right shoulder of both the northbound and southbound Jones Falls Expressway from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

W. Patapsco Avenue Lane Closures

This weekend, temporary lane closures will be implemented W. Patapsco Avenue for pot hole repair work.

On Saturday, March 5, 2022, double left lane closures will be implemented along eastbound W. Patapsco Avenue between Washington Boulevard and Potee Street from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Then on Sunday, March 6, 2022, double left lane closures will be implemented along westbound W. Patapsco Avenue between Potee Street and Washington Boulevard from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Canton Irish Stroll in O’Donnell Square

This Saturday, temporary road closures will be implemented in Canton along O’Donnell Square for the Canton Irish Stroll.

On Saturday, March 5, 2022, the following roadways will be closed to through traffic from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect, weather permitting:

  • Eastbound and westbound O’Donnell Street closed between S. Linwood Avenue and S. Potomac Street
  • Linwood Avenue closed between eastbound & westbound O’Donnell Street
  • Potomac Street closed between eastbound & westbound O’Donnell Street

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Baltimore Street Crane Lift Operation

This Saturday, a portion of Baltimore Street will be temporarily closed for a crane lift operation.

On Saturday, March 5, 2022, Baltimore Street will be closed to through traffic between Calvert Street and Guilford Avenue from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect, weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
