Weekend Road Closures for August 12-14, 2022

Ramp and Lane Closures Along the Jones Falls Expressway

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that temporary ramp and lane closures will be implemented along the Jones Falls Expressway this weekend for graffiti removal and cleaning activities.

On Saturday, August 13, 2022, Falls Road entrance and exit ramp closures along the northbound and southbound Jones Falls Expressway will occur from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Then on Sunday, August 14, 2022, temporary left lane closures will be implemented along both the northbound and southbound Jones Falls Expressway between Fayette Street and the county line from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Lane Closures Along MD 295

This weekend, temporary lane closures will be implemented along MD 295 for cleaning activities and vegetation trimming.

On Saturday, August 13, 2022, temporary right lane closures will be implemented along northbound MD 295 between the county line and Hamburg Street from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  In addition, temporary left lane closures will also be implemented along this stretch of southbound MD 295 during this time.

Then on Sunday, August 14, 2022, temporary right lane closures will be implemented along southbound MD 295 between Hamburg Street and the county line from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  In addition, temporary left lane closures will also be implemented along this stretch of northbound MD 295 during this time.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Belair Road Temporary Lane Closures

This Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of Belair Road for a crane lift operation.

On Saturday, August 13, 2022, temporary lane closures will be implemented along Belair Road between Frankford Avenue and Cook Avenue from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  One lane of through traffic will remain open for motorists in each direction during this time.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, August 14, 2022, the following streets will be closed to through traffic from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

  • Hillen Street from Fallsway to Holliday Street
  • Holliday Street from Pleasant Street to Saratoga Street
  • Holliday Street at Pleasant Street off ramp left lane closure

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Taste of Northwest Festival

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Taste of Northwest Festival which will be held in Park Heights.

On Sunday, August 14, 2022, the following streets will be closed to through traffic from approximately 1:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

  • Virginia Avenue from Park Heights Avenue to Homer Avenue
  • Homer Avenue from Woodland Avenue to Virginia Avenue (lane closure)

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
