Annapolis Road and the Waterview Avenue Bridge Will Open to Traffic on Thursday, January 12th

After four years of construction, the Triple Bridges Project over MD 295 is nearing completion

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that Annapolis Road and the new Waterview Avenue Bridge will soon be reopened for vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

Since November of 2021, a portion of Annapolis Road has been closed between Waterview Avenue and the ramps to southbound MD 295 for the reconstruction of the Waterview Avenue Bridge, as part of the Triple Bridges Project.  This project, which began in early 2019 includes the replacement of the Annapolis Road, Maisel Street and Waterview Avenue Bridges over MD 295.

As construction nears completion, the following roadways will be reopened to traffic on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at or before 3:00 p.m.:

  • Annapolis Road between Waterview Avenue and the ramps to southbound MD 295
  • The Waterview Avenue Bridge over MD 295
  • The reconstructed entrance and exit ramps to/from southbound MD 295 at Annapolis Road

Variable message signs have been placed in the area to advise motorists of the roadway openings.  After the roads are reopened, motorists may experience intermittent lane closures at various times while final construction activities are completed.

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation thanks everyone for their patience during construction as we worked to complete the Triple Bridges Project over MD 295.
