Weekend Road Closures for Saturday, February 4th through Sunday, February 5th, 2023

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary traffic modifications and road closures for the following events this weekend. 

Utility Repair Work at Intersection of Ensor Street/Harford Avenue and Monument Street

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that the intersection of Ensor Street/Harford Avenue at Monument Street will be closed this weekend for water main repair work.

Starting at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023, the intersection of Ensor Street/Harford Avenue at Monument Street will be closed to through traffic until approximately 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2023 with detours in effect.  During this time, the following traffic modifications will be implemented:

  • Monument Street will be closed at Greenmount Avenue with all traffic detouring northbound onto Greenmount Avenue.
  • Southbound Harford Avenue/Ensor Street will be closed at Madison Street with all traffic detouring onto westbound Madison Street.
  • Northbound Ensor Street/Harford Avenue will be closed at Forrest Street, with all traffic detouring onto westbound Forrest Street (which turns into Greenmount Avenue).

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Lane and Road Closures for Right of Way Cleaning

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary lane and road closures in effect for right of way cleaning.  

On Saturday, February 4, 2023 the following lanes will be closed for right of way cleaning:

  • Southbound right lane of I-83 from Fayette Street to the city limit 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Right lane closure Howard Street between North Avenue and John Street 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Right lane closure and ramp closures along north and southbound Hilton Parkway between Edmondson Avenue and North Avenue 6:00 a.m. to 4:00  p.m.

Motorists traveling in these vicinities should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Traffic Modifications for Crane Operations

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary road closures in effect for crane operations.  

On Saturday, February 4, 2023 the following streets and lanes will be closed for crane operations:

  • Upper level of St. Paul Street closed between Franklin Street and Saratoga Street 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • W. Pratt Street will be reduced to one lane of travel between Carey Street and S. Arlington Avenue 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 
  • Ashland Avenue alternating traffic pattern between Lakewood and Luzerne Avenues 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

On Sunday, February 5, 2023 the following street will be closed for a crane operation:

  • E. Cold Spring Lane closed between N. Charles Street and Millbrook Road 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Motorists traveling in these vicinities should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Traffic Modifications for Cupid's Crush 5 Mile Race

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the Cupid's Crush 2023 Race.  

The 5-mile footrace will take place in Druid Hill Park on Sunday, February 5, 2023 starting at 9:00 a.m.  During the event, participants will run through Druid Hill Park and around the Maryland Zoo. 

Motorists traveling in the park should be on the watch for pedestrians and possible lane closures.  Temporary traffic stops may also be implemented during the event for the safety of participants.
