Weekend Road Closures for Friday, May 26th through Monday, May 29th, 2023

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (BCDOT) would like to advise motorists of the temporary traffic modifications and road closures for the following activities this weekend. Traffic Modifications for Weekend Baltimore Orioles Home Games

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that temporary traffic modifications that will be in effect for the Baltimore Orioles home games which will be held this weekend at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

In preparation for Friday’s game, the following streets will be closed on Friday, May 26, 2023 starting at approximately 4:00 p.m.:

  • Eutaw Street from Pratt to Camden Streets
  • Camden Street from Howard to Russell Streets
  • Hamburg Street from Russell to Leadenhall Streets

In addition, the following parking restrictions will be implemented on Friday, May 26, 2023 beginning at 4:00 p.m.:

  • East side of Eutaw Street from Pratt to Lombard Streets
  • North side of Conway Street from Charles to Sharp Streets
  • East side of Greene Street, from Lombard Street to Washington Boulevard
  • North side of Pratt Street, from Greene Street to Paca Street

The road closures and parking restrictions listed above will also be implemented on Saturday, May 27th starting at approximately 1:00 p.m.Sunday, May 28th starting at approximately 10:30 a.m. and Monday, May 29, 2023 starting at approximately 10:00 a.m.

Transportation Enforcement Officers will be stationed at key intersections to assist with the movement of traffic in the downtown area.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians, especially when approaching designated crosswalks. 

Traffic Modifications for the Festival of India

This Saturday, traffic modifications will be implemented for the Festival of India and parade which will be held at the Inner Harbor’s McKeldin Square. 

Starting at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023, the parade will kick off from McKeldin Square at the intersection of Light and Pratt Streets.  Participants will proceed south along Light Street and east along Key Highway to finish at Rash Field.

In preparation for the event, the following traffic modifications will be implemented:

  • Southbound Light Street left lane closure between Pratt and Camden Streets from 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26, 2023 through 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023.
  • Covington Street curb lane closure between Cross Street and Key Highway from 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26, 2023 through 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023
  • Lane closures along the parade route during the procession from approximately 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Eastbound Conway Street closed at Light Street during the parade procession from approximately 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Eastbound traffic will be detoured north on Charles Street and east on Pratt Street during this time.

During the procession, temporary traffic stops may be implemented for the safety of parade participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity may experience delays and should consider using alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Sowebo Art & Music Festival

This weekend, traffic modifications will be implemented for the Sowebo Art & Music Festival which will be held at the historic Hollins Market. 

In preparation for the event, the following road closures will be implemented from 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023 through 12:00 a.m. on Monday, May 29, 2023:

  • S. Carlton Street between W. Baltimore and W. Lombard Streets
  • S. Carrollton Street between W. Baltimore and W. Lombard Streets
  • S. Arlington Street between W. Baltimore and W. Lombard Streets
  • S. Stockton Street between W. Baltimore and W. Lombard Streets
  • Hollins Street between S. Carey and S. Schroeder Streets
  • Booth Street between S. Carey and S. Schroeder Streets
  • Boyd Street between Arlington Street and 1033 Boyd Street

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for Street Lighting Repairs and Special Events

This weekend, temporary lane and road closures will be in effect for street lighting repairs and special events:

  • East side of S. Patterson Park Avenue curb lane closure from E. Lombard to E. Pratt Streets 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 26th through 12:00 a.m. Sunday, May 28th (Baltimore Orioles Fan Engagement event)
  • Market Place closure (both sides) from E. Lombard to E. Pratt Streets 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 26th through 6:00 a.m. Monday, May 29th (Hell in the Harbor event)
  • Southbound I-83 right lane closures from the city line to North Avenue on Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (street lighting repairs)
  • South side of St. Lo Drive curb lane closure from Harford Road to Sinclair Lane 6:00 p.m. Saturday, May 27th through 12:00 a.m. Monday, May 29th (Igloo DMV 2023 event)

Motorists traveling in these vicinities should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.


Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, May 28, 2023 the following street and lane closures will be implemented from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

  • Holliday Street closed from Pleasant Street to Saratoga Street
  • Pleasant Street closed at Holliday Street
  • Hillen Street center lane closure at Fallsway

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
