Portion of Southbound Old Frederick Road to Close Daily for Utility Work

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that a portion of southbound Old Frederick Road will close daily for utility work.

Starting on or about Tuesday, June 6, 2023, southbound Old Frederick Road will be closed to through traffic between Edmondson Avenue and Birchwood Drive on weekdays from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day with detours in effect, weather permitting. 

The weekday closures of southbound Old Frederick Road are expected to last for approximately three weeks while work is completed, but this timeframe can change due to weather or unforeseen conditions.  During the closures, motorists heading south on Old Frederick Road can use N. Athol Avenue as an alternate route.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
