Weekend Road Closures for Friday, June 9th through Sunday, June 11th, 2023

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (BCDOT) would like to advise motorists of the temporary traffic modifications and road closures for the following activities this weekend.  Please download the Waze.com app for live detour navigation.  All activities are weather permitting and BCDOT is not responsible for providing status updates.

 

Traffic Modifications for Weekend Baltimore Orioles Home Games

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary traffic modifications that will be in effect for the Baltimore Orioles home games this weekend at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

In preparation for Friday’s game, the following streets will be closed on Friday, June 9, 2023 starting at approximately 4:00 p.m.:

  • Eutaw Street from Pratt to Camden Streets
  • Camden Street from Howard to Russell Streets
  • Hamburg Street from Russell to Leadenhall Streets

In addition, the following parking restrictions will be implemented on Friday, June 9, 2023 beginning at 4:00 p.m.:

  • East side of Eutaw Street from Pratt to Lombard Streets
  • North side of Conway Street from Charles to Sharp Streets
  • East side of Greene Street, from Lombard Street to Washington Boulevard
  • North side of Pratt Street, from Greene Street to Paca Street

The road closures and parking restrictions listed above will also be implemented on Saturday, June 10th starting at approximately 1:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 11th starting at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Transportation Enforcement Officers will be stationed at key intersections to assist with the movement of traffic in the downtown area.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians, especially when approaching designated crosswalks.

Traffic Modifications for HONfest

This weekend, traffic modifications will be implemented for HONfest which will be held in the heart of Hampden.

In preparation for the event, the following road closure will be implemented from approximately 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2023 through 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, 2023:

  • West 36th Street from Falls Road to Chestnut Avenue

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Traffic Modifications for the St. Nicholas Greek Folk Festival

This weekend, traffic modifications will be implemented for the St. Nicholas Greek Folk Festival which will be held Greektown.

In preparation for the event, the following road closures are now in effect and  will remain closed until approximately 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 12, 2023:

  • Ponca Street between Foster and Fait Avenues
  • Foster Avenue between Ponca Street and Quail Avenue

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Jazz Festival

This weekend, traffic modifications will be implemented for the Baltimore Jazz Festival which will be held at the Wyman Park Dell.

In preparation for the event, the following lane and road closures will be implemented from approximately 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2023 through 12:00 a.m. on Monday, June 12, 2023:

  • Lane closure south side of Art Museum Drive from Wyman Park Drive to North Charles Street 
  • Lane closure west side of North Charles Street from Art Museum Drive to West 29th Street
  • Lane closure north side of West 29th Street from Maryland Avenue to Wyman Park Drive
  • Service Road from West 29th Street to Wyman Park Drive closed at Wyman Park Drive

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Traffic Modifications for the 2023 BOUNDARY Block Party

This Saturday, temporary road closures will be implemented for the 2023 BOUNDARY Block Party.

In preparation for the event, the following road closures will be implemented on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from approximately 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.:

  • Northbound Eutaw Place from West Lafayette Avenue to McMechen Street
  • Southbound Eutaw Place from McMechen Street to West Lafayette Avenue

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Traffic Modifications for the Run Up To Juneteenth 5K & 1M Walk

This Saturday, June 10, 2023, traffic modifications will be implemented for the Run Up to Juneteenth 5K and 1M walk from 8:30 a.m.to 10:30 a.m. at West Covington Park.

Race Route:

  • Start in the City Garage / West Covington Park parking lot
  • Turn right onto South Hanover Street to cross the Hanover Street Bridge
  • Turn right onto Waterview Avenue in the westbound traffic lane 
  • Turn right onto the Middle Branch Park pathway to loop along the waterfront
  • Turn left onto the westbound lane of Waterview Avenue 
  • Turn left onto Hanover Street
  • The 5K will finish inside West Covington Park.

Walk Route:

  • The 1-Mile Fun Walk course will travel under the Hanover Street Bridge using the park pathway and sidewalks.

During the event, lane closures will be in effect along the race route.  Motorists should be advised that temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the race for the safety of participants.

Traffic Enforcement Officers will be stationed along the route to help facilitate the movement of traffic. Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Traffic Modifications for Crane Operations

This Saturday, temporary lane and road closures will be implemented for crane operations.

The following traffic modifications will be implemented on Saturday, June 10, 2023:

  • Lombard Street will be reduced to one lane between Eutaw Street and Greene Street 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (crane operation)
  • Lawrence Street will be closed between Fort Avenue and Key Highway 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (crane operation)

Motorists traveling in these vicinities should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Traffic Modifications for the Corpus Christi Procession

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be implemented for the Procession for Corpus Christi. 

In preparation for the procession, the following lane closures and road closure will be implemented on Sunday, June 11, 2023 from approximately 12:30 p.m. through 2:00 p.m.:

  • Lane closure north side of West Saratoga Street from Cathedral Street to Park Avenue
  • Lane closure west side of Park Avenue from West Saratoga Street to West Pleasant Street
  • Closure of West Pleasant Street from Park Avenue to Cathedral Street 
  • Lane closure west side of Cathedral Street from West Pleasant Street to West Saratoga Street

Motorists traveling in these vicinities should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, June 11, 2023 the following street and lane closures will be implemented from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

  • Holliday Street closed from Pleasant Street to Saratoga Street
  • Pleasant Street closed at Holliday Street
  • Hillen Street center lane closure at Fallsway

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
