Weekend Road Closures for Friday, June 23rd through Sunday, June 25th, 2023

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (BCDOT) would like to advise motorists of the temporary traffic modifications and road closures for the following activities this weekend.  Please download the Waze.com app for live detour navigation.  All activities are weather permitting and BCDOT is not responsible for providing status updates.

 

Traffic Modifications for Weekend Baltimore Orioles Home Games

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that temporary traffic modifications will be in effect for Baltimore Orioles home games which will be held this weekend at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

In preparation for Friday’s game, the following streets will be closed on Friday, June 23, 2023 starting at approximately 4:00 p.m.:

  • Eutaw Street from Pratt to Camden Streets
  • Camden Street from Howard to Russell Streets
  • Hamburg Street from Russell to Leadenhall Streets

In addition, the following parking restrictions will be implemented on Friday, June 23, 2023 beginning at 4:00 p.m.:

  • East side of Eutaw Street from Pratt to Lombard Streets
  • North side of Conway Street from Charles to Sharp Streets
  • East side of Greene Street, from Lombard Street to Washington Boulevard
  • North side of Pratt Street, from Greene Street to Paca Street

The road closures and parking restrictions listed above will also be implemented on Saturday, June 24th starting at approximately 1:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 25th starting at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Transportation Enforcement Officers will be stationed at key intersections to assist with the movement of traffic in the downtown area.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians, especially when approaching designated crosswalks. 

 

Traffic Modifications for an End of the Year School Picnic 

This Friday, a temporary road closure will be implemented for an End of the Year school picnic.

In preparation for the event, the following road closure will be implemented on Friday, June 23, 2023 from approximately 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with parking restrictions and detours in effect:

  • S. Potomac Street from O'Donnell to Dillon Streets

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for Latin Fest 2023

This weekend, temporary lane closures will be implemented for Latin Fest 2023.

In preparation for the event, the following lane closure will be implemented on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from approximately 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from approximately 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with parking restrictions in effect:

  • Westside curb lane of S. Linwood Avenue from East Pratt Street to Eastern Avenue

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for Baltimore Pride Parade and Block Party

This Saturday, traffic modifications will be implemented for Baltimore Pride Parade and Block Party.

In preparation for the event, the following road closures will be implemented on Saturday, June 24, 2023 with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • N. Charles Street from North Avenue to 23rd Street closed 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • 20th Street from Morton to N. Lovegrove Streets closed 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • 21st Street from Morton to N. Lovegrove Streets closed 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • 22nd Street from Morton to N. Lovegrove Street closed 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • N. Charles Street from 23rd Street to University Parkway closed 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • At Museum Drive from Wyman Park Drive to N. Charles Street closed 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Parade Route:
Parade participants will begin staging at 11:00 a.m. along N. Charles Street between University Parkway and 32nd Street, and along Art Museum Drive between Wyman Park Drive and N. Charles Street.  The parade will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will travel southbound on N. Charles Street to disband at 23rd Street.

Northbound Charm City Circulator Purple Route Detour and Stop Closure from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.: 

  • Right on North Avenue 
  • Left on Calvert Street 
  • Left on 24th Street 
  • Right on Charles Street 
  • Continue on regular route 

Stop closure: #312

Northbound Charm City Circulator Purple Route Detour and Stop Closures from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.: 

  • Right on North Avenue 
  • Left on Calvert Street 
  • Left on 33rd Street  
  • Left on St. Paul Street 
  • Continue southbound on regular route 

Stop Closures #312, #313, #314, and #315

Motorists should be advised that temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the parade for the safety of participants.  Vehicles at all major signalized intersections along the parade route should be allowed to cross the parade during breaks in the procession.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.  

 

Road Closures for Crane Operations

This Saturday, temporary road closures will be implemented for various crane operations.

The following road closures will be implemented on Saturday, June 24, 2023:

  • Edgewood Street closed from Clifton Street to Walbrook Avenue 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Pearl Street closed from Lexington Street to Saratoga Street 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Eastern Avenue closed from Bethel Street to Broadway 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Motorists traveling in these vicinities should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Crank Masterz Festival

This Saturday, a temporary road closure will be implemented for the Crank Masterz Festival.

In preparation for the event, the following road closure will be implemented on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from approximately 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • N. Collington Avenue from East Biddle to East Chase Streets

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for Pride In the Park and Baltimore Pride 5K

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be implemented for Pride In the Park and the Baltimore Pride 5K.  The race is completely in Druid Hill Park from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

In preparation for the event, the following road closure will be implemented on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with parking restrictions in effect:

  • Swann Drive from Druid Park Lake Drive to Beechwood Drive

The 5K race will be held in Druid Hill Park from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  One lane of travel will be coned off for participants wherever possible along the race route and temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the event.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for Baltimore Women's Classic

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be implemented for Baltimore Women's Classic which will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. 

In preparation for the event, the following road closures will be implemented on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • Water Street from South Gay Street to Market Place 
  • Market Place from Water Street to Lombard Street 
  • Frederick Street from Water Street to East Baltimore Street 

Parking Restrictions:

  • Both sides of Water Street from Gay Street to Market Place
  • Both sides of Market Place from Water Street to Lombard Street
  • Both sides Frederick Street from Water Street to E. Baltimore Street
  • Both sides of Central Avenue from Dock Street to Point Street
  • Both sides of Point Street inside / around Harbor Point Plaza

Race Route:

  • Start on Water Street east of S. Gay Street
  • Left onto Commerce Street
  • Left onto East Pratt Street
  • Left onto Light Street 
  • Left onto the promenade at Conway Street to continue around the Inner Harbor
  • Right onto Pier 4 promenade
  • Left onto the bridge between Piers 4 & 5
  • Right onto Pier 5 towards the lighthouse 
  • Right onto Eastern Avenue
  • Right onto the promenade/E. Falls Avenue
  • Right onto Central Avenue
  • Right onto Point Street
  • Left onto Caroline Street
  • Left onto Gough Street
  • Right onto Lloyd Street
  • Left onto Lombard Street
  • Right on Market Place to finish

Motorists should be advised that temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the race for the safety of participants. The Baltimore Police Department and Traffic Enforcement Officers will be stationed along the route to help facilitate the movement of traffic.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
