Overnight Lane Closures Along Portions of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, W. Chase Street and Read Street

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that overnight lane closures will soon be implemented along portions of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, W. Chase Street and Read Street for roadway striping work. 

Starting on or about Monday, September 25, 2023 overnight lane closures will be implemented along the following roadways from approximately 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. each weeknight:

  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard between Biddle Street and Eutaw Street
  • W. Chase Street between Cathedral Street and W. Read Street/Linden Avenue/Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard
  • Read Street between Linden Avenue and W. Chase Street

These overnight closures will be implemented nightly for approximately two weeks, weather permitting.  Variable message signs have been deployed in the area to alert motorists of the overnight closures.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
