Weekend Road Closures for Thursday, November 7th Through Sunday, November 10, 2024

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (BCDOT) would like to advise motorists of the temporary road closures and traffic modifications for the following activities this weekend.  Please download the Waze.com app for live detour navigation.  All activities are weather permitting and BCDOT is not responsible for providing status updates.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Ravens Home Game

On Thursday, traffic modifications will be implemented for the Baltimore Ravens game against the Cincinnati Bengals which will be held at M&T Bank Stadium starting at 8:15 p.m.

In preparation for the game, the following road and lane closures will be implemented on Thursday, November 7, 2024, starting at approximately 5:00 p.m.:

  • The Hamburg Street Bridge will be temporarily closed between Leaden Hall and Paca Streets for game ingress.  Once the game begins, the closures will be removed until the start of the fourth quarter for egress.
  • The Ostend Street Bridge will be temporarily closed between Sharp and Warner Streets for game ingress.  Once the game begins, the closures will be removed until the start of the fourth quarter for egress.
  • A special traffic pattern will be temporarily installed along Warner Street between the Ostend Street Bridge and Stockholm Street for ingress and railroad crossings.
  • Special traffic patterns will be installed along Warner Street, Alluvion Street, Worcester Street, and Bayard Street for egress at the start of the fourth quarter.
  • Hamburg Street closure between Hanover and Charles Streets for egress at the start of the fourth quarter.
  • No southbound travel will be permitted along Hanover Street between Henrietta and Hamburg Streets at the start of the fourth quarter for egress.  All traffic will be diverted onto Henrietta Street for east or west bound travels.

Football fans attending the game should be advised that all posted parking restrictions and residential permit parking regulations in the vicinity of the stadium will be strictly enforced.  Fans that drive to the stadium should park at commercial lots and avoid area neighborhoods.  Those who do not have a parking permit for any of the stadium lots are strongly encouraged to use public transportation including the Metro Subway, Light Rail, Local Bus, or Charm City Circulator.  

Transportation Enforcement Officers will be deployed in the downtown area to assist with the movement of traffic.  Motorists traveling in the vicinity of the stadium should be on the watch for heavy pedestrian/vehicular traffic and possible traffic pattern changes prior to and during this event.

 

Traffic Modifications for the 2024 Veteran’s Day Parade

This Saturday, November 9th, temporary street closures and parking restrictions will be in effect for the 2024 Veterans Day Parade which will be held from 12:00 noon to 2:30 p.m.

The parade will step off from the Washington Monument at the intersection of Charles and Centre Streets. Participants will proceed south on Charles Street, left on Baltimore Street, and left onto Gay Street to disband along E. Lexington Street at War Memorial Plaza.

In preparation for the event, the following streets will be closed to through traffic on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at approximately 9:00 a.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • Mt. Vernon Place from Cathedral to St. Paul Streets
  • Charles Street from Lombard to Madison Streets
  • Centre Street from Park Avenue to St. Paul Street
  • Lexington Street from Charles to St. Paul Streets
  • Lexington Street from Guilford Avenue to Gay Street
  • Holliday Street from Saratoga to Lexington Streets
  • Holliday Street from Fayette to Baltimore Streets
  • Commerce Street from Baltimore to Lombard Streets
  • Baltimore Street from Hopkins Plaza to Gay Street
  • Gay Street from Pratt to Lexington Streets

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be advised that temporary traffic stops will be implemented for the safety of parade participantsCommuters should expect delays and are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes.  Motorists are encouraged to download the Waze.com app for live detour navigation. 

Charm City Circulator service alert – Due to the road closures for the parade, the Charm City Circulator’s Purple and Green Routes will be operating with detours in effect on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Additional information can be found on the Charm City Circulator’s website.

 

Lane Closures for CFG Bank Arena Event

This Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented in the vicinity of the CFG Bank Arena for the Kacey Musgraves concert.

In preparation for the event, the following lane closures will be implemented from approximately 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9 until 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2024:

  • Howard Street left lane closure from Camden to Pratt Streets
  • Lombard Street right lane closure from Hopkins Place to Howard Street 
  • Baltimore Street left lane closure from Howard Street to Park Avenue
  • Pratt Street left lane closure from Eutaw to Howard Streets

Motorists traveling in the vicinity of the CFG Arena should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for Weekend Activities

This weekend, temporary road and lane closures will be in effect for various activities.

On Friday, November 8, 2024, the following road will be closed (times approximate):

  • Fleet Street closed between Caroline and Bond Streets from 9:00 p.m. Friday, November 8th through 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2024 (milling and paving work)
  • Lower St. Paul Street left lane closure between W. Franklin and Pleasant Streets 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (special event)

On Saturday, November 9, 2024, the following road and lane closures will be implemented (times approximate):

  • 600 W. Baltimore Street closed between Pine and Arch Streets 12:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. (crane operation)
  • 700 W. Pratt Street closed between Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Pine Street 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (milling & paving)
  • Calvert Street closed between Madison and Read Streets 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (crane operation)
  • Lower St. Paul Street left lane closure between W. Franklin and Pleasant Streets 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (special event)

On Sunday, November 10, 2024, the following road closure will be implemented (times approximate):

  • Lower St. Paul Street closure between W. Franklin and Pleasant Streets 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (special event)

Motorists traveling in these vicinities should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

 

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, November 10, 2024, the following street and lane closures will be implemented from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with parking restrictions in effect:

  • Holliday Street closed from E. Pleasant Street to E. Saratoga Street
  • Pleasant Street closed at Holliday Street
  • Hillen Street center lane closure between Front Street and Fallsway

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
