Portion of Mulberry Street Remains Closed as Utility Work Continues

Motorists should use alternate routes to avoid delays

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that a portion of Mulberry Street remains closed due to emergency utility work.

At this time, Mulberry Street is closed to through traffic between Greene and Paca Streets with detours in effect.  Motorists traveling on Mulberry Street will be directed onto Greene Street and should then utilize Saratoga, Lexington or Baltimore Streets to continue heading eastbound.

In addition to the Mulberry Street closure, the eastbound Route 40 exit ramp to downtown will also be closed, starting this afternoon, Wednesday, July 6, 2016.

Detour signs and variable message boards will be posted in the area to alert commuters of the closures.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should expect delays, plan ahead by allowing additional travel time, and use alternate routes away from the affected area.  Commuters trying to access downtown from the west are encouraged to use Interstates 695/95/395 to avoid delays.
