The Baltimore City Department of Transportation Director Michelle Pourciau today announced that the Right-of-Way Services Division is moving. The Right of Ways Services Division, which is currently located in the Abel Wolman Municipal Building on Holliday Street, lobby room 6 and second floor room 204, will be moving to the Councilman Harry S. Cummings Building at 401 East Fayette Street. 

The move will allow for all of DOT’s Right-of -Way Services Division to be housed together in one centralized location. The new office suites will be located in the Councilman Harry S. Cummings Building, so that citizens will have quick and easy access to Right-of-Way Services.  This location is known to many as the former “MECU Building”, and the Right-of-Way Services will be housed on the main level where MECU was previously located, and on lower level 1.

“We are excited to have all of the Right-of-Way Services Division together for improved service to Baltimore’s residents and business community,” said Director Pourciau.  “This functional and innovative space will provide a unique work environment that allows the public easy access to Right-of-Way Services.”

In preparation for the move, the Right-of-Way Services Division will be closed to the public from February 25 through February 27, 2019.  In addition, the Property Location and Land Conveyance Sections will close starting on Friday, February 22 and will remain closed through February 27, 2019.  It is anticipated that all services will resume on Thursday, February 28, 2019. 

During the move, Right-of-Way permit applications will be accepted online; however, the process time for permits may take several additional days to complete.  Phone numbers will also remain the same once the move is completed.
