Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore City Y Turkey Trot Charity 5K

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications for the Baltimore City Y Turkey Trot Charity 5K.  The event will be held on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 28, 2019 from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.

The race will start at the Weinberg Y in Waverly along 33rd Street.  Participants will leave the Y and turn left onto the westbound lane of E. 33rd Street and run against the flow of traffic.  Participants will follow E. 33rd Street to the Lake Montebello loop and run clockwise around the lake.  Runners will exit the loop back onto E. 33rd Street running with the flow of traffic and will turn right towards the Stadium Place loop to finish.

In preparation for the event, one lane of traffic will be coned off for participants along the race route where possible.  Motorists should be aware that temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the race for the safety of the participants.  Citizens should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
