Weekend Closure of Ramp from Southbound I-95 to Southbound MD 295
The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that the ramp from southbound I-95 to southbound MD 295 will temporarily close this weekend for ongoing work related to the Maryland Transportation Authority’s deck rehabilitation and joint modifications project on eight bridges along I-95 in Baltimore City.
This weekend, the ramp from southbound I-95 to southbound MD 295 (Exit 52) will be temporarily closed to through traffic starting at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022 through 5:00 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022 with detours in effect. In addition, the ramp from Hanover Street to southbound I-95 will also close during this time with detours in effect.
Suggested Detours:
The detour for closure of the ramp from southbound I-95 to southbound MD 295 will direct motorists to I-695 (Exit 49A), to southbound MD 295 (Exit 7A). This detour can be followed for access to Westport and MD 648. Drivers leaving Saturday's Ravens Stadium practice should exit to Russell Street for access to southbound MD 295.
The detour for closure of the ramp from Hanover Street to southbound I-95 will direct motorists to turn right onto E. McComas Street, then to the E. McComas Street on-ramp to southbound I-95.
Heavy Pedestrian and Vehicular Traffic Expected for the Reggae Rise Up Maryland Music Festival This Weekend
The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that heavy pedestrian and vehicular traffic is expected this weekend for the Reggae Rise Up Maryland Music Festival. The festival will be held Friday, July 29th through Sunday, July 31, 2022 at West Covington Park located in Port Covington.
Transportation Enforcement Officers will be stationed at key intersections to assist with the movement of traffic in this area. Traffic modifications may be implemented throughout the weekend if needed during the event. Motorists should be on the watch for pedestrians and possible traffic pattern changes if traveling in this vicinity.
High Traffic Volumes Expected Downtown for the Baltimore Ravens Stadium Practice
This Saturday, high traffic volumes are expected downtown for the sold-out Baltimore Ravens Stadium Practice which will be held at M&T Bank Stadium starting at 6:00 p.m.
Football fans attending the practice should be advised that all posted parking restrictions and residential permit parking regulations in the vicinity of the stadium will be strictly enforced for everyone’s safety. Patrons choosing to drive to the stadium should park at commercial lots and avoid area neighborhoods. Fans that do not have a parking permit for any of the stadium lots are strongly encouraged to use public transportation including the Metro SubwayLink, Light RailLink or the Charm City Circulator.
The Department of Transportation will deploy Transportation Enforcement Officers to assist with the movement of traffic in the downtown area. Traffic modifications may be implemented during the event if needed. Motorists traveling in the vicinity of the stadium should be on the watch for heavy pedestrian/vehicular traffic and possible traffic pattern changes prior to and during this event.
Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar
This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.
On Sunday, July 31, 2022 the following streets will be closed to through traffic from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with detours in effect:
- Hillen Street from Fallsway to Holliday Street
- Holliday Street from Pleasant Street to Saratoga Street
- Holliday Street at Pleasant Street off ramp left lane closure
Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
Traffic Modifications for the Rev Day Parade
This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Rev Day Parade. The parade kicks off at 12:00 p.m. along N. Fremont Avenue between Presstman and Laurens Streets. Participants will turn left on Laurens Street and right on Madison Avenue to finish at Eutaw Mashburn Elementary School.
On Sunday, July 31, 2022 the following streets will be closed to through traffic from approximately 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect:
- N. Fremont Avenue from Presstman to Laurens Streets
- Laurens Street from N. Fremont to Madison Avenues
- Madison Avenue from Laurens to Wilson Streets
Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
