Weekend Road Closures for Friday, October 20 Through Sunday, October 22, 2023

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary road closures and traffic modifications for the following activities this weekend.  Please download the Waze.com app for live detour navigation.  All activities are weather permitting and BCDOT is not responsible for providing status updates.

Traffic Modifications for the Park’d N Pumpkin Spooky Trails Event in Druid Hill Park

On Friday, temporary traffic modifications will be implemented for the Park’d N Pumpkin Spooky Trails event which will be held in Druid Hill Park.

In preparation for the event, the entrances to Druid Hill Park will be closed on Friday, October 20, 2023 from approximately 4:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. with detours in effect

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Great Halloween Lantern Parade & Festival

This weekend, a portion of Linwood Avenue will temporarily close for the Great Halloween Lantern Parade and Festival which will be held in Patterson Park.

On Saturday, October 21 and Sunday, October 22, 2023 Linwood Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Eastern Avenue and E. Pratt Street from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. each day with detours and parking restrictions in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

This Saturday, temporary traffic modifications will be implemented for the American Cancer Society’s 24th annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Baltimore walk.  The event will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Camden Yards Lot C and participants will walk around the Baltimore Ravens and Camden Yard Stadiums.

In preparation for the event, the Hamburg Street Bridge will be closed to through traffic between Leadenhall and Russell Streets on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with detours in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the 1000 Youth Engagement and Walk

This Saturday, temporary traffic modifications will be implemented for the 1000 Youth Engagement and Walk.

The walk kicks off from the intersection of Madison Street and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard at 12:45 p.m.  Participants will walk along Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, turn right onto Pennsylvania Avenue, right on Preston Street and across Madison Street to finish on lot at 900 Madison Street.

In preparation for the event, the following streets will be closed to through traffic on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from approximately 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

  • Madison Street closed between Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Preston Street
  • Preston Street closed between Eutaw Place and Madison Street 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for Crane Operations and Special Events

This weekend, temporary road and lane closures will be in effect for crane operations and special events.  

On Saturday, October 21, 2023, the following lane and road closures will be implemented:

  • Pratt Street left lane closure between Calvert and South Streets 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. (special event)
  • E. Fayette Street lane closures between N. Holliday and N. Gay Streets 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (crane operation)
  • E. Eager Street lane and sidewalk closures between N. Charles and Lovegrove Streets 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (crane operation)
  • W. Wilkes Lane closed between N. Hanover and N. Charles Streets 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (crane operation)

Motorists traveling in these vicinities should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, which will be held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, October 22, 2023 the following street and lane closures will be implemented from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

  • Holliday Street closed from Pleasant Street to Saratoga Street
  • Pleasant Street closed at Holliday Street
  • Hillen Street center lane closure at Fallsway

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Ravens Home Game at M&T Bank Stadium

On Sunday, traffic modifications will be implemented for the Baltimore Ravens home game against the Detroit Lions which will be held at M&T Bank Stadium starting at 1:00 p.m.

In preparation for the game, the northbound Russell Street Service Drive, which runs alongside M&T Bank Stadium, will be closed to vehicular traffic between West and Hamburg Streets prior to and during the event. 

In addition, the following road closures will be implemented on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from approximately 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.:

  • Hamburg Street between Leadenhall and Paca Streets
  • Warner Street between Ostend and Worcester Streets
  • Ostend Street between Sharp and Warner Streets 
  • Bayard Street between Russell and Warner Street

Football fans attending the game should be advised that all posted parking restrictions and residential permit parking regulations in the vicinity of the stadium will be strictly enforced for everyone’s safety.  Patrons choosing to drive to the stadium should park at commercial lots and avoid area neighborhoodsFans that do not have a parking permit for any of the stadium lots are strongly encouraged to use public transportation including the Charm City Circulator. 

Transportation Enforcement Officers will be deployed to assist with the movement of traffic in the downtown area.  Motorists traveling in the vicinity of the stadium should be on the watch for heavy pedestrian/vehicular traffic and possible traffic pattern changes throughout the afternoon.
