The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications that will be in effect for Flower Mart 2016. The event will take place on Friday, May 06 and Saturday, May 07, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. each day in the heart of Mount Vernon.

In preparation for the event, the following streets will be closed to through traffic beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 05, 2016 until 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 08, 2016:

• N. Charles Street from Centre to Read Streets
• Madison Street from St. Paul to Cathedral Streets
• Mt. Vernon Place from St. Paul to Cathedral to Streets

In addition, parking will be restricted in these areas from 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 05, 2016 until 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 08, 2016.

Variable message signs will be placed in the area to alert motorists of the closures and Transportation Enforcement Officers (TEO’s) will be posted at critical locations to help facilitate the movement of traffic. Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
