Traffic Modifications for the Pigtown Festival

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications in effect for the annual Pigtown Festival which will be held on Saturday, October 08, 2016 from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m.  The event will take place along Washington Boulevard in southwest Baltimore. 

In preparation for the event, the following roadways will be closed to through traffic on Friday, October 07, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. through Saturday, October 08, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • Washington Boulevard from Barre to Cross Streets
  • Scott Street from Carroll to Ramsey Streets

Motorists are urged to pay strict attention to posted parking restrictions and to use alternate routes while traveling in this vicinity. 

 

Traffic Modifications for the 2016 Greater Maryland Heart Walk

This Saturday, temporary lane closures will be in effect for the 2016 Greater Maryland Heart Walk.  The event kicks off at 9:00 a.m. from Ravens Walk at M&T Bank Stadium.

The walk takes place primarily on stadium grounds.   Participants will exit the stadium lot to cross over Howard Street/I-395, and then head east on Conway Street.  The route will cross Light Street and continue along the promenade to Pier 4.  Participants will circle around Pier Four and follow the same route back to the stadium to finish.

In preparation for the event, a temporary lane closure will be implemented along westbound Conway Street between Light and Howard Streets on Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 12:00 noon.

Commuters should be aware that temporary traffic stops may be implemented along the walk route for the safety of participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Blacks Together In Pride Fall Block Party

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be implemented for the Blacks Together in Pride Block Party. 

In preparation for the event, the following roadways will be closed on Sunday, October 09, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. with parking restrictions in effect:

  • Pearl Street between Lexington and Saratoga Streets
  • Lexington Street between Greene and Pearl Streets

In addition, the curb lane will be closed along Greene Street between Saratoga and Lexington Streets during this time. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
