Weekend Road Closures for October 15-17, 2021

Weekend Road Closures and Parking Restrictions in Fells Point

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that temporary road closures and parking restrictions will be implemented in Fells Point this weekend.

Starting on Friday, October 15, 2021 and continuing each evening through Sunday, October 17, 2021, all through traffic will be restricted in Fells Point from approximately 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. within the following geographical boundaries:

  • South of Aliceanna Street
  • North of Thames Street
  • East of S. Bond Street
  • West of S. Ann Street

Various parking restrictions will be implemented in Fells Point throughout the weekend.  Fells Point visitors and residents should pay close attention to all posted parking restrictions and avoid parking in restricted areas. 

Residential Permit Parking will be strictly enforced throughout the weekend in Fells Point (RPP Area 16) and vehicles parked in violation will be ticketed.  Fells Point Residential Permit Parking in Area 16 will be enforced along the following roadways:

• Aliceanna Street     • Broadway

• Fleet Street              • Shakespeare Street

• Ann Street               • Thames Street

• Lancaster Street     • Dallas Street

• Bethel Street           • Wolfe Street

• Register Street        • Durham Street

• Bond Street             • Fell Street

To ensure that residents have access to parking near their homes, residents will be allowed to access areas closed to through traffic with their ‘Area 16’ Residential Parking permits.

Motorists should be aware that additional road closures and parking restrictions may be implemented in the vicinity of Fells Point throughout the weekend if needed.  Motorists traveling in this area should be on the watch for pedestrians and changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

 

Portion of Water Street to Close for Crane Lift

This Friday evening, a portion of Water Street will temporarily close for a crane lift operation.

On Friday, October 15, 2021, Water Street will be closed to through traffic between South and Gay Streets from approximately 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight with detours and parking restrictions in effect. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Intersection of Pennsylvania and North Avenues to Close This Saturday

This Saturday, the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and North Avenue will be temporarily closed to through traffic.

On Saturday, October 16, 2021, the intersection of Pennsylvania and North Avenues will be closed to through traffic from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with detours in effect. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Lane Closures Along Portion of Pratt Street

This Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of Pratt Street for a crane lift operation. 

On Saturday, October 16, 2021 temporary lane closures will be implemented along Pratt Street between Hanover and Light Streets from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  One lane of through traffic will remain open for motorists during this time. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.

 

Lane Closures Along Portion of Fayette Street

This Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of Fayette Street for a crane lift operation. 

On Saturday, October 16, 2021 temporary lane closures will be implemented along Fayette Street between Calvert and Charles Streets from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  One lane of through traffic will remain open for motorists during this time. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.

 

Portion of Guilford Avenue to Close for Crane Lift

This Saturday, a portion of Guilford Avenue will temporarily close for a crane lift operation.

On Saturday, October 16, 2021, Guilford Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Lexington and Fayette Streets from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Portion of Charles Street to Close for Crane Lift

This Saturday, a portion of Charles Street will temporarily close for a crane lift operation.

On Saturday, October 16, 2021, Charles Street (on the Convention Center service drive) will be closed to through traffic between Conway and Pratt Streets from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Portion of Water Street to Close for Taco Fest

This Saturday, a portion of Water Street will temporarily close for the Taco Fest.

On Saturday, October 16, 2021, Water Street will be closed to through traffic between S. Frederick Street and Market Place from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.with detours and parking restrictions in effect. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Portion of Monument Street to Close for Harvest Fest

This Saturday, a portion of Monument Street will temporarily close for the ‘Fallin Into Fun Harvest Fest’.

On Saturday, October 16, 2021, Monument Street will be closed to through traffic between Eutaw and Paca Streets from approximately 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Road Closures in Harbor East for the Light to Night Event

This weekend, temporary road closures will be implemented in Harbor East for the ‘Light the Night’ special event. 

Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021 and continuing until 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 17, 2021, the following roadways will be closed to through traffic with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • Point Street between Wills and Thames Streets
  • Point Street between Central Avenue and Wills Street 
  • Central Avenue between Dock and Point Streets

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Flagging Operation Along Portion of Eastern Avenue

This Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of Eastern Avenue for a crane lift operation. 

On Saturday, October 16, 2021 a traffic flagging operation will be implemented along Eastern Avenue between Highland Avenue and Conkling Street from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Traffic flagging crews will direct motorists through the work zone during this time. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.

 

S. Exeter Street to Close for Crane Lift

This Sunday, a portion of S. Exeter Street will temporarily close for a crane lift operation.

On Sunday, October 17, 2021, S. Exeter Street will be closed to through traffic between Fleet and Aliceanna Streets from approximately 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect. 

Then from approximately 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. this Sunday, S. Exeter Street will close at the intersection of Aliceanna Street.  A traffic flagging operation will be implemented along Aliceanna Street during this time to direct motorists through the work zone.

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, October 17, 2021 the following streets will be closed to through traffic from approximately 5:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

  • Hillen Street from Fallsway to Holliday Street
  • Holliday Street from Pleasant Street to Saratoga Street
  • Holliday Street at Pleasant Street off ramp left lane closure

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for Sunday’s Ravens Game at M&T Bank Stadium

On Sunday, traffic modifications will be implemented for the Baltimore Ravens football game against the Los Angeles Chargers which will be held at M&T Bank Stadium beginning at 1:00 p.m. 

In preparation for the game, the following roadways will be closed to through traffic at approximately 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 17, 2021:

  • Northbound Russell Street Service Drive (which runs alongside M&T Bank Stadium) between West and W. Hamburg Streets
  • W. Ostend Street Bridge between Warner and Sharp Streets
  • W. Hamburg Street between Russell and Leadenhall Streets
  • Hamburg Street west of Russell Street

In addition, various parking restrictions will be implemented in the vicinity of the stadium.  Fans attending the game should be advised that all posted parking restrictions and residential permit parking regulations will be strictly enforced for everyone’s safety.  Patrons choosing to drive to the stadium should park at commercial lots and avoid area neighborhoods.  Vehicles parked in violation are subject to being ticketed and towed.  Fans that do not have a parking permit for any of the stadium lots are strongly encouraged to use public transportation including the Metro SubwayLink, Light RailLink or the Charm City Circulator.  

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for heavy pedestrian/vehicular traffic and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
