Temporary Closure North and South of the Sisson Street Bridge

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that Sisson Street will be temporarily closed between 24th Street and 26th Street to through traffic.

Starting on or about February 18, 2022, there will be a temporary closure North and South of the Sisson Street Bridge.  The bridge will be closed to bicycles, pedestrians, and vehicular traffic.  Parking is not permitted while the closure is in effect. Signs will be posted in the area to alert motorists of where the closure begins and the suggested detour.

BCDOT will relocate all parked vehicles along Sisson St. between 24th and 26th street. The specific location of relocated vehicles can be informed by calling 311.

Suggested Detour:

  • Traffic should use N. Howard Street to reach destinations north and south of the Sisson Street Bridge.
  • Traffic traveling southbound on Sisson Street may use W. 26th Street to Huntingdon Avenue to divert to N. Howard Street.
  • Traffic traveling northbound on Sisson Street may use W. 24th Street to divert to N. Howard Street.
