Weekend Road Closures for Friday, December 1 Through Sunday, December 3, 2023

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary road closures and traffic modifications for the following activities this weekend. Traffic Modifications for the Patterson Park 5K
This Saturday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Patterson Park 5K which will be held in Patterson Park from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
In preparation for the event, the following streets will be closed on Saturday, December 2, 2023 with detours and parking restrictions in effect:
- N. Belnord Avenue closed from E. Baltimore Street to E. Fairmount Avenue 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- S. Linwood Avenue closed from Eastern Avenue to E. Pratt Street 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
Traffic Modifications for Cleaning Activities, Street Lighting Work and Crane Operations
This weekend, temporary lane and ramp closures will be in effect for cleaning activities, street lighting repair work and crane operations.
On Saturday, December 2, 2023, the following lane and ramp closures will be implemented:
- Northbound Jones Falls Expressway/I-83 right lane closures from North Avenue to the city/county line 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (street lighting work).
- Northbound Jones Falls Expressway/I-83 ramp closures to North Avenue, 28th Street and Druid Park Lake Drive (cleaning activities).
- Northbound and southbound Hilton Parkway left lane closures from North Avenue to Edmondson Avenue 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (cleaning activities)
- Calvert Street left lane closure from Pratt Street to Lombard Street 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This lane closure will also be implemented on Sunday, December 3rd.
Motorists traveling in these vicinities should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar
This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, which will be held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.
On Sunday, December 3, 2023 the following street and lane closures will be implemented from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with detours in effect:
- Holliday Street closed from Pleasant Street to Saratoga Street
- Pleasant Street closed at Holliday Street
- Hillen Street center lane closure at Fallsway
Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
Traffic Modifications for the Hampden Christmas Parade
The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary road closures and parking restrictions that will be in effect for the annual Hampden Christmas Parade. The parade will be held in Hampden this Sunday from approximately 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
The parade will begin at the intersection of Falls Road and Cold Spring Lane. Participants will travel south along Falls Road, east on W. 36th Street, and north on Chestnut Avenue to disband at W. 37th Street.
In preparation for the event, the following streets will be closed on Sunday, December 3, 2023 starting at approximately 10:00 a.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect:
- Falls Road from Hillside Road to W. 36th Street
- The Falls Road Exit (Exit 8) from northbound Jones Falls Expressway / I-83. Motorists should use the Cold Spring Lane East (Exit 9A) during this time.
- W. 36th Street from Falls Road to Chestnut Avenue
- Chestnut Avenue from W. 36th Street to W. 37th Street
During the event, parking will be restricted along the parade route including Falls Road, 36th Street and Chestnut Avenue. In addition, temporary traffic stops may be implemented for the safety of parade participants.
Motorists traveling in this vicinity should expect delays and are encouraged to allow additional travel time and use alternate routes. Motorists are also encouraged to download the Waze.com app for live detour navigation.
