Traffic Modifications for the St. Nicholas Greek Folk Festival

Traffic modifications are now in effect for the St. Nicholas Greek Folk Festival which will be held this weekend in Greektown.

In preparation for the event, the following road closures are now in effect and these roads will remain closed until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024, with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • Ponca Street between Foster and Fait Avenues
  • Foster Avenue between Ponca Street and Quail Avenue

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Art After Dark Event

On Thursday, traffic modifications will be implemented for the Art After Dark event which will be held at the Meadow at 200 Park Avenue.

In preparation for the event, the following road closures will be implemented on Thursday, June 6, 2024, from approximately 6:00 p.m. until 11:59 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • Lexington Street between Howard and Liberty Streets
  • Park Avenue between Fayette and Clay Streets

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the We’re Not Worthy Festival Episode 1

This weekend, traffic modifications will be implemented for the We’re Not Worthy Festival Episode 1 which will be held in Canton.

In preparation for the event, the following road closure will be implemented from 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, until 12:00 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2024, with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • Linwood Avenue between O’Donnell and Dillon Streets

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Charles Street Promenade

This Saturday, traffic modifications will be implemented along Charles Street for the Charles Street Promenade.

In preparation for the event, the following road closures will be implemented on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from approximately 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • N. Charles Street from Saratoga Street and Mt. Royal Avenue (closed 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
  • N. Charles Street from Mt. Royal Avenue to North Avenue
  • N. Charles Street at Pleasant Street
  • N. Charles Street at North Alley
  • N. Charles Street at Hamilton Street
  • N. Charles Street at Mount Vernon Place (no two-way traffic)
  • N. Charles Street at Read Street
  • N. Charles Street at Eager Street
  • N. Charles Street at Biddle Street
  • N. Charles Street at Preston Street

The following parking restrictions for the festival will be implemented on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.:

  • Both sides of North Charles Street from Saratoga Street to North Avenue

Motorists should pay close attention to the posted parking restrictions and avoid parking in prohibited areas.  Parking restrictions will be strictly enforced throughout the duration of the day for the safety of everyone.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Charm City Circulator Service AlertOn Saturday, June 8, 2024, the Charm City Circulator will be operating its regular service hours with detours and stop closures during this event.  Patrons should visit or download the Passio Go! app for detour information.         
 

Traffic Modifications for Weekend Activities

This weekend, temporary lane closures will be in effect for various activities.

On Thursday, June 6, 2024, the following lane closure will be implemented (times approximate):

  • Boston Street south side curb lane closure between Potomac Street and East Avenue 7:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. (special event)

On Saturday, June 8, 2024, the following lane closures will be implemented (times approximate):

  • Jones Falls Expressway/I-83 southbound right lane closures between Cold Spring Lane and the 28th Street ramp 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (guard rail repairs)
  • Hilton Parkway northbound and southbound right lane closures between North Avenue and Hilton Street 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (cleaning and repair activities)

Motorists traveling in these vicinities should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

 

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, June 9, 2024, the following street and lane closures will be implemented from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with parking restrictions in effect:

  • Holliday Street closed from E. Pleasant Street to E. Saratoga Street
  • Pleasant Street closed at Holliday Street
  • Hillen Street center lane closure between Front Street and Fallsway

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Run Up To Juneteenth 5K & 1M Walk

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be implemented for the Run Up to Juneteenth 5K and 1M Walk which will begin and end at West Covington Park.  The event will be held from approximately from 8:30 a.m.to 10:30 a.m.
Race Route:

  • Start in the City Garage / West Covington Park parking lot
  • Turn right onto South Hanover Street to cross the Hanover Street Bridge
  • Turn right onto Waterview Avenue in the westbound traffic lane 
  • Turn right onto the Middle Branch Park pathway to loop along the waterfront
  • Turn left onto the westbound lane of Waterview Avenue 
  • Turn left onto Hanover Street
  • The 5K will finish inside West Covington Park.

Walk Route:

  • The 1-Mile Fun Walk course will travel under the Hanover Street Bridge using the park pathway and sidewalks.

In preparation for the event, the following lane closures will be implemented on Sunday, June 9, 2024, from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.:

  • Hanover Street double lane closures between Cromwell Street and Waterview Avenue
  • Waterview Avenue partial lane closure between Hanover Street and Erik Street

Motorists should be advised that temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the race for the safety of participants.  Transportation Enforcement Officers will be stationed along the race route to help facilitate the movement of traffic. Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
